Cruise & Ashley | Adams Peak Country Estate Wedding

Cruise & Ashley’s Adams Peak Country Estate Wedding - Broke

Adams Peak Country Estate is easily one of the most sought-after wedding venues in Broke, Hunter Valley. Its rustic charm attracts couples who want a super chill, exclusive experience. There is plenty of onsite accommodation and multiple wedding ceremony locations, such as the lawn overlooking the broken mountain range, a large open-sided wet weather barn, and a gorgeous reception barn.

Having photographed several weddings at Adams Peak Country Estate, it was great to be back! Cruise & Ashley had planned their wedding well in advance, giving them plenty of time to get the vendors they wanted. Then covid hit, and they had even longer. But this made the whole process a little more drawn out than they'd hoped.

However, the wedding rolled out, and the wait was well and truly worth it. It meant that all of their wedding guests could attend, and the weather they ended up with for their day was absolute perfection.

Groom, Cruise, got ready in the house onsite at Adams Peak. His Groomsmen, parents and a few friends were there to keep a nice chill vibe during the lead-up to the ceremony. They suited up before getting a few photos outside, the groomsmen and those key family members that were there for groom prep.

While this was happening, Bride prep was in full swing at The Retreat, a short walk from the house. Blended by Bloch & Sarah Hairstyles were looking after the glam. Samantha from Hunter Valley Video & I were there capturing all those spontaneous moments and the details. Once Ash got into her wedding dress, we did a reveal with her Father outside in the garden. He stood facing the opposite direction until Ash was within a couple of meters of him. Her Father then turned around and absolutely lost it. The emotions were high, and for Samantha & I photographing & videoing this with tears in our eyes was no easy task.

The ceremony took place on The Lawn, with an arbour wrapped in florals as the centrepiece of the ceremony, the Broke Mountain range as the backdrop & clear blue sky. The day was perfect!

As the bridesmaids started to walk down the aisle, Groom, Cruise, began to well up, and as he saw Ashley, he couldn't contain his emotions. It is always one of the most beautiful moments of a wedding. Ash's Father walked her down the aisle and met Cruise at the front. After a few hugs and words of advice, the ceremony began. Jacie Whitfield of "I Do Bespoke Ceremonies" lead the formalities. Injecting some personality into the ceremony with some insight into what makes these two lovers unique. The story of how they met. As well as how Ash & Cruise grew closer over the years, spending more and more time together. The things that they love and a few of the things that annoy them about each other. Cause, after all, it is all about balance, am I right?

Cruise & Ash sealed the deal with a kiss and some legal papers. Before then, walking down the aisle as Husband & Wife, showered in petals & love from all their friends and family in attendance. Speaking of family, we knocked over the family photos in record time after a large group photo with everyone & some smaller combos. We then regrouped the bridal party and made our way up to The Secret Tree for some wine, banter & a few photos.

After this spot, the bridal party returned to mingle into canapes while the couple and the photo & video crew hung out with some highland cows. Then, we piled into the back of the work ute en route to the front paddocks.

As the sun dipped behind the Broke Mountain range, we took the newlyweds in the paddock with the cows; a few photos later, we made our way out onto the jetty over the dam. Before walking back up to the reception along the long dirt driveway.

Silent Shout Entertainment provided the music for the evening, reading the room and providing some classics & of course, some modern bangers for the young ones in attendance. The dancefloor was pumping well into the night. And this was all fuelled by excellent food by Monkey Place Catering. Easily one of the best in the Hunter Valley region.

With the mix of chill positive vibes, awesome vendors and guests, and the fantastic weather, Cruise and Ash really pulled off a perfect wedding to be remembered. It's events and people like these that serve as a reminder of why I do what I do.

KIND WORDS

“We are so in love with the photos. They are amazing!
