Crystalbrook Kingsley Newcastle Wedding | Styled Shoot

Old Hollywood Energy in the Heart of Newcastle

This Crystalbrook Kingsley styled shoot was all about atmosphere — Old Hollywood elegance, playful energy and a bold, editorial feel set against some of Newcastle’s most iconic architecture.

The vision from the outset was to create something a little different. Polished but fun. Stylish without being stiff. Ethan and Ella were the perfect fit for this concept — their natural chemistry and effortless connection brought the whole shoot to life and gave it the movement and personality it needed.

Prep at Customs House Hotel

We began the shoot at Customs House Hotel Newcastle, who were incredibly welcoming when I reached out about using their space for hair and makeup. The heritage interiors provided a beautiful contrast to the modern city backdrop and gave us plenty to work with before heading out onto the streets of Newcastle.

Hair was styled by Alicia’s Personal Hair Design, with makeup by Cocotanning Hair Makeup & Beauty, setting the tone early with a polished, cinematic look that carried through the rest of the shoot.

Crystalbrook Kingsley as the Centrepiece

From there, we made our way to Crystalbrook Kingsley, one of Newcastle’s most striking modern hotels and an incredible location for wedding photography.

The architecture, textures and light throughout the building make it a standout venue. From the clean lines and elevated interiors to the energy of Romberg’s Bar, every space contributed to the Old Hollywood vibe we were chasing.

Access to Crystalbrook Kingsley was made possible through Rundle Tailoring, whose connection opened the door to this epic location. The suits they supplied paired perfectly with the gowns from Final Touch Bridal, creating a refined, fashion-forward look that suited the space beautifully.

Styling, Florals & Finishing Touches

Florals by As Sweet As Jasmine added softness and depth to the editorial styling, while Dan Dimmock Films captured the movement and mood of the shoot on video.

Out the front of Newcastle City Hall, Stella from Dollface Garage brought the final layer of personality with a slick classic ride — a perfect nod to the Old Hollywood inspiration and a strong visual anchor for the shoot.

Final Thoughts

This Crystalbrook Kingsley styled shoot was a great example of what’s possible when creative vision, the right location and an aligned team come together.

It was a collaborative effort from start to finish, and always a reminder of how powerful thoughtful styling and strong energy can be when paired with an iconic Newcastle venue.

More to come soon.
