Kandis & Samuel’s Wedding - Merewether Surfhouse - Newcastle

Kandis & Samuel were married on Saturday 13th of October 2018 in Newcastle. The weather was beautiful and sunny, perfect conditions for their ceremony in the park, which was led by Hunter Valley wedding celebrant Jacie Whitfield of I Do Bespoke Ceremonies. Jacie had everyone in stitches with her witty remarks, insights into how these two met and everything else that lead to that very moment.
Wedding videographers Elliott & John of Morelife Films were also there to capture the day, it was great to finally work alongside these guys. Following the ceremony the bridal party piled in the kombis and we all shot off to our first location, The Obelisk. Overlooking the city it was the perfect spot to capture all of Newcastle. From there we made our way through King Edward Park, stopping to get the Newcastle Ocean Baths as our backdrop before making our way to the well know, and one of my favourite’s, Hickson st lookout.

The trail was golden, with beautiful afternoon light flooding through the trees. Opening up to the coast, the end of the trail provided a nice contrasting locations, an ocean that appeared to go on forever.

The reception was held back at Merewether Surfhouse, with live music provided by Newcastle’s finest Jerome O’Connor. A great evening, with amazing coastal views, excellent food, live music, a dance floor which was ’Litt’ and the perfect combo of relaxed, yet organised to ensure a flawless wedding day.
