Ali & Cody | Moravia Park Wedding in Lovedale
Ali & Cody | Moravia Park Wedding in Lovedale
Ali and Cody’s Moravia Park wedding was the perfect reflection of who they are — as individuals and as a couple. Stylish, warm, grounded in family, and full of personality.
Moravia Park, a rustic barn-style venue in Lovedale, Hunter Valley, was the ideal setting. Exclusive, expansive and beautifully considered, it allowed the day to unfold without restrictions — and gave this couple the freedom to make it truly their own.
If I had to sum up both the venue and the wedding in one phrase, it would be this: rustic elegance.
Getting Ready Onsite at Moravia Park
Ali and Cody both got ready onsite, making full use of Moravia Park’s bridal suite and second dwelling. The exclusivity of the property meant their closest family and friends could be part of the morning — and yes, that included their dogs, proudly wearing bandanas and soaking up the attention.
They even brought their horses along for the day, with one drawing the carriage that Ali arrived in for the ceremony — a moment that felt incredibly personal and unmistakably them.
Style, Florals & Big Energy
While groom Cody is a well-known professional bull rider — a multiple-time Australian champion — this wedding wasn’t all Akubras and Ariats (though there were plenty).
The styling was next level.
An incredible volume of florals filled both the ceremony and reception spaces, styled by a family member and owner of Singleton Florist. The result was breathtaking — lush, intentional and beautifully layered.
Ali, crowned Miss Australia 2020, brought her own effortless elegance to the day. Having worked together on countless creative shoots over the years, there was definitely a bit of pressure to deliver something special — but Ali made it easy. From her stunning lace dress to her native bouquet, every detail felt refined and considered.
Family Moments That Mattered
Family was a central theme throughout the day.
Ali had small vintage frames tied around the base of her bouquet, each holding photos of loved ones — a subtle detail that added so much meaning. During prep, her mum helped her into her wedding dress before Ali stepped outside for a first look with her dad — an emotional moment that set the tone for what followed.
Ali also shared a first look with her brothers, who were visibly stunned and beyond excited for the ceremony to begin.
Her bridesmaids brought the perfect hype-girl energy — keeping spirits high, rolling with a few last-minute changes, and making sure everything stayed calm and fun.
Ceremony in Front of the Barn
The ceremony took place in front of the barn at Moravia Park. The weather danced between sunshine and looming dark clouds, but held off just long enough for Ali and Cody to exchange vows and walk back down the aisle as husband and wife under clear skies.
After the ceremony came hugs, congratulations, and an extensive family photo list. Once that was ticked off, a well-earned drinks break was definitely in order.
A Floral-Filled Reception Reveal
Before guests entered the reception space, Ali and Cody snuck inside to see it first — and the reaction was everything.
The barn was completely transformed. Florals everywhere. Gold plates and cutlery. A warm glow from vintage bulbs strung from an old wooden ladder. A neon sign adding a modern edge. We captured quiet portraits of the newlyweds in the empty room, soaking it all in before the night truly began.
Portraits Around Lovedale & Beyond
Once back outside, it was time to turn things up a notch.
Moravia Park offers endless portrait options — a long tree-lined driveway, open golden fields, gardens and nearby vineyards. After exploring the property, we jumped in the car with Sam from Hunter Valley Video and headed offsite.
First stop: an old bridge with rough textures that contrasted beautifully with Ali’s elegant dress. From there, we found mountain views near Saltire Estate, an old homestead in the distance, and a seemingly endless grassy driveway that felt straight out of a film.
Sunset, Dancing & Letting Loose
Back at Moravia Park, the bridal party danced their way between tables for the reception entrance, setting the tone for a night full of energy.
As the sun dipped behind the mountains, we snuck outside again. The sunset was stunning. One of my favourite moments was Cody placing his hat on Ali’s head — simple, iconic and genuinely special.
Before heading back inside, Ali and Cody asked if they could practice their first dance out front of the barn. That quiet rehearsal eased their nerves and gave us some incredibly natural images as the last light faded.
Sparklers, Final Dance & A Perfect Ending
The first dance was nailed. Speeches rolled on. The dancefloor stayed packed.
Later in the evening, guests formed a sparkler circle just outside the barn doors — cheering, laughing and celebrating as Ali and Cody soaked it all in. Once the night wrapped up and the guests departed, the couple shared one final dance alone in the reception space.
A calm, intimate moment to close out an unforgettable Hunter Valley wedding.
Final Thoughts
Ali and Cody’s Moravia Park wedding was powerful because it was personal. Every choice reflected who they are — grounded in family, full of style, and completely present in the moment.
