After shooting here across every season, these are the things that have the biggest impact on how a Hunter Valley wedding day feels: Sunset timing — The mountain ranges surrounding the Hunter Valley mean the sun drops behind the ridgeline earlier than couples expect. Depending on your venue and time of year, golden hour can arrive 30–45 minutes earlier than the official sunset time. Building your portrait session around this makes an enormous difference to the quality of the light.
